I Was There Watching

Maybe she went alone
Because no one else would follow
Because solitude seemed divine.
But I was there watching.

Maybe she talked to no-one
Because her thoughts were fire
That blazed and razed on contact.
With anyone who came close.
But I was there watching.

Maybe she held it all back
In fear of being berated
And concealed the magnificence within
Waiting for some approval.
And I was there watching.

Maybe she thought it all finished
When no one came forward.
Till one day the shadows rustled.
And she was no longer desolate.
And I was no longer watching.

    1. I think this will cheer you up.
The person who was watching didn’t leave her at all. On the contrary he came out of the shadows and went up to her and hence they both ended up being happy together.
-“And she was no longer desolate
And i was no longer watching.”

      Thanks for reading anyway!
